We were fortunate to have another opportunity to sit down with Jack Nunn during his off time and dive deeper into his impressive racing career. He shared insights about his journey, the challenges he's faced, and the dedication required to compete at the highest level. Our conversation provided a fascinating glimpse into his experiences on and off the track.

How did you prepare during off season training?

I didn't really have any time off the bike this year, sometimes I'll have a few weeks off, but not this year. After training in America for six months, I was right back into training for the Australian Supercross series.

Rounds raced this year and where?

Here is a list of the races I have done this year:

  • Multiple GT Arenacross races in the USA
  • AMA Arenacross Championship - Oklahoma
  • Loretta's Area Qualifier - Ohio
  • Loretta's Area Qualifier - South Carolina
  • Loretta's Regional Qualifier - Ohio
  • Loretta's Regional Qualifier - North Carolina
  • Loretta Lynn's - Tennessee
  • AMA Super Motorcross - Texas
  • Australian Supercross Series
    • Brisbane Rd1
    • Brisbane Rd2
    • Wollongong Rd3
    • Adelaide Rd4
    • Melbourne Rd5

Favourite Track & Why?

Even though it was the hardest track that I have ever ridden, I would have to say Loretta Lynn's. It's a famous track and earlier on a race day it's not as rough and has a really good flow to it. I enjoy the jumps and sand sections.

Career highlight so far?

My two biggest highlights would be the AMA Arenacross Championship when I won Oklahoma, USA. My next biggest achievement is qualitfying in two classes Mini Senior 1 and Supermini 2 for Loretta Lynn's.

Any Injuries?

Yeah, I have had my share of injures but the worst ones were breaking my right femur and my right shoulder needing to get surgery for both injuries.

Hardest Race?

I would have to say my hardest race was Loretta Lynn's. It is a really rough and difficult track, and I raced it 3 weeks after getting surgery on my shoulder.

Performance you are most proud of?

My performance that I am most proud of is the AMA Arenacross Championship I won. It come down to a winner take all adn I passed for the lead last corner, last lap.

Hardest Competitor?

I wouldn't say I have a toughest competitor. If anything I'm my hardest competitor because I'm always pushing myself to be better and it takes a lot for me to be proud with everything about my riding.

Bike issues you had to over come nad how did you do it?

Touch wood I haven't had too many bike issues where I DNF'ed. I have had carburettor problems due to the humidity during the qualifying at the SMX Texas round for the supermini class. I ended up with an outside gate on a short straight.

Who do you look up to?

Matt Mose would definitely be my idol, he is my coach nad I admire his determination and the ability to go and get after it no matter what has happened.
