Callum Shaw At Freestyle Kings

Date Posted:1 April 2023

A crew from MCS attended the FK Freestyle Kings event at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 11th to support Callum Shaw, one of the riders sponsored by MCS. The event commenced with a lively rock music soundtrack and a burst of pyrotechnics, followed by an impressive showcase of FMX skills by Australia’s top riders. Callum, from Boonah, New Zealand, dazzled the audience with his Yamaha and an array of groundbreaking tricks, executed both upright and upside down. He also lent a hand to BMX riders, among them the celebrated local hero Ryan Williams, as they pulled off breathtaking aerial stunts. The MCS group was thoroughly entertained and amazed, each member holding their own unique perspective of the event.

“It was a great family friendly night. I could see everyone was having a ball, especially all the young kids, who I am sure aspire to be as good as any of the boys when they grow up. I was particularly impressed with Pat Bowden and Callum Shaw, those boys know their way around a ramp and sending it upside down. My favourite trick of the night would have been Callum’s Backflip Indian Air No Hander, like how? I remember not that long ago just a backflip was crazy enough, now they are throwing in variations as well as double and triple flips. Absolutely mind-blowing stuff.” - Ben

“Rolling up to the Entertainment Centre and seeing so many people excited to watch a sold out FMX show was awesome. There were kids with model motorbikes and some all geared up with the FK Freestyle Kings merch. The action packed show didn’t disappoint with MCS rider Callum Shaw sending it with smooth flips, tricks and also towing in the BMX riders with the FK Can-AM. Cheers, smiles and applause rang out all night as the tricks got crazier and more difficult, building to a crescendo of front flips, double back flips and all in train. An awesome night for the fans and the riders.” - Brett AKA Legend

“The Freestyle Kings live show was great!! An action packed show with amazing riders and insane stunts. An awesome night!!” - Annie

“As a first time viewer, I found it highly entertaining. Very skilled and talented riders giving it their all.” - Rachel

As we left the arena, the excited chatter of kids discussing the riders’ impressive tricks filled the air, marking the end of the show. It was truly a remarkable event to witness, with Callum and the other riders pushing the boundaries and leaving many of us in awe of their skills.

At MCS, we couldn’t be prouder of Callum and his exceptional performance at the event.
